A teacher who fights for working families

James Talarico

Teacher. Seminarian. Fighter.

James Talarico grew up in Round Rock, Texas. He earned his bachelor's degree in government from the University of Texas at Austin and a master's in education policy from Harvard University.

Before running for office, James taught middle school language arts at a public school in San Antonio. He's served in the Texas House of Representatives since 2019, fighting against GOP attacks on public education, voting rights, and reproductive freedom.

Now he's taking his fight against corruption to Washington — because the real divide in this country isn't left vs. right. It's top vs. bottom.
